Heaven & Hell
When we die, we go up in the sky,
Heaven or hell, our deeds decide.
This was the story, I had long read,
So I asked my father, before going to bed.
Father, father what is the truth,
Heaven is real or yet another myth.
My father smiled and said ‘my child’.
I’ll tell the truth, touching me mild.
Heaven and Hell are places on earth,
On this very planet where we take birth.
They can also be states of our mind,
When we feel satisfied, or the daily grind.
Content with what we have, while striving hard,
Is the game of life, every moment a trump card.
If we speak the truth, are loving and kind,
We need not look for, but heaven shall we find.
Opposite of heaven, is nothing but hell,
We don’t need to go there, as anyone can tell.
I thanked my father; I was a lot wiser,
We need with each other, be a lot nicer.
We don’t need to wait until after we die,
Our lives can be heaven, with a little try.
